Resources is a covered entity under the
Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Finalized on August 14, 2002, the HIPAA
Privacy Rule ensures that all personal
medical information you share with
doctors, hospitals, and others who provide
and pay for healthcare is protected.
If
a LifeTime Resources employee is in
a position designated by the agency as
being covered under the act, the employee
will receive the necessary training and
sign the additional confidentiality
statement. The HIPAA manual and
